The Company

Founded in 1840 and still in private English ownership, Foster & Son is committed to sustaining the very highest standards of English Leather craftsmanship in shoes, cases, luggage, wallets and other top quality crafted goods.

In the Firm’s Jermyn Street London workshop we continue to nurture young talent and create new designs for our bespoke and ready to wear customers across the World.

A high proportion of Foster & Son’s output consists of uniquely designed pieces hand-crafted to commission. Foster & Son also design and sell an extensive range of ready-to-wear shoes and other off the shelf leather products and accessories.

Registration and ownership

W.S. Foster & Son Limited, Registered in England no. 447806, is 100% owned by Bespoke Tradition Limited, registered in England no. 3716932, which is in turn 100% personally owned by Richard Edgecliffe-Johnson. The Company trades under the name “Foster & Son” and its goods are marked with the Company’s historic Boot & Fox logo.
