Briefcases typically take a lot of abuse, but a good quality
case, instead of becoming sad and scuffed, will acquire a beautiful
patina over time.
In looking for quality, examine the handle, which ideally should be hand
made with several layers of leather so that it will mould to your hand and
give many years of use. See if the vulnerable corners have been stitched across by hand to protect them.
Hand stitching is very laborious work, but no machine can achieve the same result.
Our very best cases will be made of English bridle leather with a top quality lining and be fully hand stitched, but we also offer a more affordable range of high quality machine stitched cases.
